OPENING HOURS

8.30am - 6.30pm Monday - Friday

Extended Hours

For those patients who find it difficult to attend during regular hours, we offer the following (by appointment only)

6.30 - 8.15pm Monday
8.00 - 11.00am Saturday

Outside surgery hours our emergency cover is in operation on the usual number - 0844 815 1990.

Complementing the GP services of Birchwood Medical Practice are all the facilities and services you would expect from a modern health centre. We are conveniently situated close to the town centre, the public library, the Help shop and Horley Social Services department.

Chemists, post office, banks and food stores are within easy level walking distance of the health centre, which is also on a main bus route.

OUT OF HOURS EMERGENCIES

The surgery closes at 6.30pm Monday to Friday and re-opens at 8.30am each morning. Please do not phone out-of-hours for routine matters. If you require a doctor outside routine hours please contact the surgery on the usual number 0844 815 1990 , where you will be given the telephone number of the out-of-hours provider, currently Thames Doc, where you will be dealt with by one of their highly trained team. If, after triage through their system, it is decided you need a doctor, you may be offered an appointment at the out-of-hours centre. Where possible we would urge you to attend, as you will receive a faster, more efficient service. If you are unable to attend the deputising service, and a visit to your home is deemed medically necessary, one of the deputising service doctors will visit. (Please note, all calls to the deputising service are recorded for the purpose of quality control.)
